About me

Hello, I’m Ranisha

A qualified Integrative Counsellor and the founder of The InnerMind Haven.

Hello

I’m Ranisha

I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor and the founder of The InnerMind Haven.

I am passionate about creating safe, inclusive and empowering spaces where people feel able to explore their emotions, experiences and challenges without judgement.

I believe that every individual has their own unique story, and counselling should be tailored around the person rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

Alongside my private practice, I have experience supporting young people and individuals experiencing emotional difficulties, vulnerability and challenging life circumstances. My work has allowed me to support individuals with developing emotional awareness, confidence, resilience and healthier ways of understanding themselves.

I have a particular passion for supporting young people, reducing stigma around mental health, and creating spaces where individuals feel safe to express who they are.

My therapeutic approach

Tailored around you, not a template

I am an Integrative Counsellor, meaning I draw upon different therapeutic approaches to best support each individual. My approach is collaborative — we work together to understand your experiences and identify what support feels most helpful for you.

Person-Centred Therapy

At the heart of my work is creating a warm, accepting and non-judgemental environment where you feel heard and valued.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Supporting individuals to explore the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours, while developing helpful coping strategies.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

Exploring relationship patterns, communication, and how past experiences may influence how we view ourselves and others.

Psychodynamic approaches

Exploring emotions, experiences and patterns that may influence how we feel and respond in the present.

My values

What I hold to

Safety

Creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself.

Compassion

Meeting you with understanding, empathy and acceptance.

Inclusion

Recognising that identity, culture and personal experiences shape who we are.

Empowerment

Supporting you to build confidence, self-awareness and skills that can support your wellbeing beyond counselling.
